GENERAL INFORMATIONS – What is DMCC

Driftmania Canadian Championship (DMCC) consists of 2 different divisions, Eastern & Western.  Each division has two separate and distinct championships; the Pro and ProAm series.  ProAm is open to all new comers and advanced drifters in order to practice and gain the experience needed to move up to the Pro series, while being trained by the same judges as the Pro Series.

 

Drifting is the fastest growing motosport in North America. It is nail biting entertainment which transmits excitement and energy directly to its fans. It creates bridges from generation X to Y. It is recognized as the 21st century Motorsport where extreme athletes, and their fans, meet for a weekend of tire shredding nirvana.  Drivers battle each other representing their sponsors through driving skill, style and showmanship. We at DMCC deliver the fuel needed to put on these world class events. Hardcore fans feel the rush from the edge of their seats, screaming and cheering for their favorite drivers while pushing them to their limits. High powered rear wheel drive performance built vehicles push the boundaries of traction, as they pilot their vehicle through a marked course.

 

Drifting is a very unique Motorsport where it is judged on 4 main criteria; Speed, Line, Angle and Impact. Points are awarded by a three panel judging system and drifting is the only Motorsport where it is not about being the first to cross the finish line, but to do it the most exciting way possible. This recipe keeps fans on the edge of their seats as they witness driver’s battle door to door for the coveted DMCC Cup. DMCC will be going into its 7th season as a professional series hosting 11 events across Canada from BC to Quebec at the country’s hottest and most attended race tracks. DMCC captures over 60 000 fans a year with a total audience of millions of people. The DMCC fan is between the ages of 18-34, predominately male, tech savvy, follows the latest trends, and they demonstrate incredible brand loyalty.

 

DMCC has also taken its brand beyond the race track, investing hundreds of thousands of dollars into the growth of drifting, and diversifying the DMCC brand. DMCC has developed a robust and engaging multi-media network that connects with its fans on multiple levels, and we continue to reinvent the DMCC brand in an effort to stay ahead of emerging trends among racing fans. The lastest evolution of the DMCC brand has been our biggest to date. In September of 2010, DMCC and Rat Rod Studios launched the first ever fully licensed drifting iphone. The game is the only drifting game available and it as been downloaded by over 2,5 MILLION users.  The game features stunning 3d graphics and The game is now available on android, iphone store and macstore. DMCC have developped strategic marketing opportunities to target the demographic and objectives you want to reach.

 

DMCC is one of the only national Motorsport series in Canada and we are proud to have completed 33 successful events since 2004 and since our beginning, we have not ceased to double our audience and exposure. An astounding success for the sport of drifting in Canada.
